Brittle hearts – Poem

by suleimanharuna

Brittle hearts

Damn brittle

Surely not the hearts of oak

Icepacks in summer’s noon

And weak sands on the ocean shore

Sweep the grains

And cook the useless chaff

Then pay your folly’s price

Have conscience

And be conscious

That destiny’s a look-man

Kill the Goddamn time

Impale their buttocks for steroids

And shake vigorously

For maximum performance

Nigerians must change.
